AEDB net metering The Government of Pakistan promotes the exploitation of renewable energy (RE) sources through Alternative Energy Development Board (AEDB). Distributed generation (by small-scale plants and even residential consumers) and net metering are part of the overall Renewable Energy policy.

Gross GerauLAHORE - Gross Gerau (Germany) In December 2015 on a study tour by the Pakistan-German Renewable Energy Forum (PGREF), a delegation including members of the Energy Department of the Government of the Punjab visited the Vocational Training Centre in Gross Gerau.

ERCA state-of-the-art Energy Efficient building is planned to be built in Lahore by Government of Punjab (GoPb). A German architectural firm, Carpus+Partner, was hired for an initial concept design for the building through GoPb’s development cooperation partner Deutsche Gesellschaft fur Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ).
